VISIONS borough community advisory boards are composed of volunteers who work together with VISIONS staff to achieve two goals. The first is to raise awareness about VISIONS services so that more individuals of all ages who are blind or severely visually impaired access the help they need and the second is to raise funds for VISIONS. The money that is raised by each borough board is used for VISIONS services within the borough.

Holiday Voices for VISIONS will not only honor some of Staten Island’s most outstanding leaders but also feature 4 teen soloists: Thomas Folderauer (Wagner College), Evan Harden (Monsignor Farrell High School), Anthony Nardulli (Sayreville War Memorial High School), Nicole Sutherland (St. John’s University), who will lend their talents to this worthy cause by performing iconic holiday songs during the virtual ceremony. Proceeds from this event will be used to support VISIONS free programs in Staten Island.

Join VISIONS as we host our first panel of blind, visually-impaired, and differently-abled athletes who don’t take ‘no’ for an answer. From ice hockey to skiing; and martial arts to goalball; people with disabilities can play virtually any sport! Learn where to find teams, coaches, and equipment from experts in the field.
Please join VISIONS in celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month on October 28th from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM. This virtual event will include a fireside chat with Laurel Hilbert, networking rooms, and raffle prizes.
